Türkiye’s Ministry of Family and Social Services said the “İlk Öğretmenim Ailem” mobile application has been used by 2.002 million families since it entered service in April 2025. The ministry’s August 20, 2026 announcement says the service provides digital guidance on parenting, child development, education and communication within the family. Anadolu Agency reported the same total and launch date on the same day, matching the ministry’s statement.
What does the application provide?
According to the official announcement, the application includes material covering child development, positive parenting, education and family communication. Families can access information organised around different stages of childhood, while parents can also submit questions and receive responses from specialists. The ministry presents the service as a practical source of guidance for issues families may encounter in daily life. Free access and use without consuming a subscriber’s mobile data allowance are among the accessibility features highlighted in the announcement.
The platform is not limited to explanatory articles. The ministry and earlier reporting by Anadolu Agency say parents can apply for birth-support payments through the application, view payment information after an application is approved and use interactive functions to seek expert guidance. The application therefore brings together parenting material and access to selected public services. Eligibility requirements and the scope of each benefit, however, continue to be governed by the relevant official rules rather than by the application itself.
How has the reported user total changed?
An Anadolu Agency report dated August 17, 2025 said 1.025 million families had begun using the application. The new total of 2.002 million announced on August 20, 2026 shows a substantial increase in the reported figure over roughly one year. Both totals describe usage figures released by public authorities at different dates. The latest announcement does not provide a separate breakdown for downloads, daily active users, repeat visits or unique devices.
The ministry describes the application as a digital tool intended to make reliable information easier for families to reach. Its content combines age-appropriate developmental guidance, communication material and specialist support. The phrase used in the announcement refers to families that have begun using the service. It should therefore not automatically be interpreted as a measure of daily activity or continuous engagement without additional data.
Access and verification
The application is available free of charge through Google Play and Apple’s App Store. For processes involving applications, payment details or personal information, users should rely on verified store listings and official ministry channels. The ministry also says access does not reduce users’ mobile internet allowances. Device compatibility, software versions and available functions can change, so current technical information should be checked on the official listing before use.
The August 20 announcement provides a current indicator of the ministry’s effort to expand mobile access to family services. It does not, however, present an independent impact assessment or detailed engagement analysis. The narrow, verifiable development is that the service launched in April 2025, had been used by 2.002 million families by August 20, 2026, and continues to provide digital material and selected service functions related to parenting and child development.
