Xiaomi's budget-focused Redmi brand appears to have accidentally leaked the full specifications of its upcoming Redmi 17C 5G. The device was briefly listed on a Luxembourg-based retailer's e-commerce platform, revealing key upgrades including a 120Hz display and a massive 6,000mAh battery. The handset is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset and will ship with Xiaomi's latest HyperOS 3 out of the box.
Big Screen, Smooth Scrolling
The Redmi 17C 5G sports a 6.9-inch IPS LCD with an HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. This combination ensures noticeably smoother animations and scrolling compared to conventional 60Hz panels. At 171.56 x 79.47 x 8.05 mm and roughly 211 grams, the device offers a sturdy feel. It will be available in Brown, Purple, and Black, with a redesigned rear panel aimed at a younger, Gen Z audience.
Battery Life Designed for Two Days
A standout feature in the budget segment is the 6,000mAh battery, which Xiaomi claims can last up to two days under typical usage. USB-C fast charging is supported to top up the large cell more quickly. The dual-camera system and clean design give the phone a fresh look without drastic departures from the previous generation.

Under the hood, the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor is paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD up to 1TB. The main camera is a 50MP unit with an f/1.8 aperture and autofocus, while the front-facing shooter offers 8MP resolution.
