Xiaomi has officially begun beta testing HyperOS 4, its next-generation interface. The update focuses on refining system resource use, boosting speed and expanding AI capabilities across its ecosystem.

AI assistant built on MiMo
The beta introduces Super XiaoAi 2.0, an assistant developed on the MiMo large language model. It can plan complex tasks, automate different operations and interact more deeply with Xiaomi ecosystem devices.
Eligible devices and foldable preview
The first beta wave covers premium Xiaomi and Redmi models, including the Xiaomi 17 series, Redmi K90 series and Pad 8. Testers will provide feedback on stability and performance.
Xiaomi also displayed a wide-screen foldable phone that has not yet been officially released. The company used the device to demonstrate how HyperOS 4 adapts to large and foldable screens, signaling closer integration between its hardware and software.
