Under the August 2026 classification calendar published by Türkiye’s Ministry of National Defence, reserve officer and reserve non-commissioned officer candidates, together with first-group privates, are due to begin deployment procedures on 6 August 2026. Classification results were released through the e-Government portal on 30 July. Individuals covered by the call-up should verify their assigned unit, reporting date and travel information before obtaining their dispatch document.
What is the August 2026 dispatch calendar?
The calendar issued by the ministry’s Recruitment Directorate divides the call-up into three groups. Reserve officer and reserve NCO candidates and first-group privates are scheduled for 6 August. Second-group privates are scheduled for 3 September, while third-group privates are scheduled for 1 October 2026. These general dates must be checked against the personal classification and dispatch information displayed in each individual’s e-Government account.
People assigned to the first group can obtain their dispatch document after the classification results are announced. Those in the second and third groups can receive the document starting 10 days before their own reporting date. The document is available through the “My Military Service” service on the e-Government portal or from a local military recruitment office.
Documents and reporting requirements
The dispatch document contains the training unit, reporting date, permitted travel period and other individual instructions. For that reason, the nationwide calendar alone is not sufficient; the date and unit shown on the personal document take priority. The ministry’s frequently asked questions page also confirms that dispatch documents can be collected online or from a recruitment office.
According to the official notice, travel and meal payments are calculated using the distance between the address registered in Türkiye’s address system and the assigned training unit. Payments can be collected from PTT branches with an identity document or through PttMatik machines using a PTT card. Failing to obtain the dispatch document, failing to report after receiving it, or arriving outside the authorised travel period may result in absentee procedures under the applicable military service rules.
A 6 August date also appears in the paid-service calendar
The 2026 paid military service schedule also includes a 6 August call-up. People serving under that programme must still rely on the date displayed in their own classification result. Requests to change a call-up period may be submitted through the “My Military Service” service or a recruitment office, subject to available capacity and the deadlines shown in the official system.
How are valid excuses and absence handled?
People with a valid excuse recognised under the Military Recruitment Law should document the situation and contact the relevant recruitment office. Reporting late without an accepted excuse can trigger absence procedures. The official notice also states that reserve officer or reserve NCO candidates who fail to report without a valid excuse may later be dispatched with private status.
The reporting date should be read together with the travel period written on the personal dispatch document. People assigned to distant training units may receive additional travel time. Travel plans should therefore follow the individual document rather than another person’s timetable, because reporting hours and authorised travel periods can differ.
A short pre-departure checklist
Before departure, individuals should confirm their unit and reporting date, download or collect the dispatch document, review the permitted travel period and prepare their identity and personal paperwork. Those wishing to convert a civilian mobile line to a restricted military-service line can apply to an authorised mobile operator before reporting.
The ministry states that the notice has the legal character of an official notification under the Military Recruitment Law. Therefore, unverified dates circulating on social media should not be used in place of the ministry’s official page and the personal e-Government screen.
