The transfer also brings a windfall for Middlesbrough, who sold Rogers to Villa in January 2024. A 20% sell-on clause in that deal means Middlesbrough will collect roughly 20.3 million pounds from this transfer, bringing the club's total profit on the player to about 35.8 million pounds since letting him go.
